I love Silhouette’s print and cut option, and in this video tutorial I’ll be showing you how to make this super cute Halloween print and cut card in Silhouette Studio. Then, I’ll color the card using Distress Inks for the background and my new favorite, the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, for cute little Frankie.
In the video, I talk a little bit about printing onto watercolor paper. Because I’m using water-based color mediums for this project, a laser print or other water-resistant or waterproof ink is necessary. If you don’t have a laser printer and aren’t in the market for one, then you can always use whatever coloring mediums you’d like : Copic markers, colored pencils, etc. – the possibilities are pretty much endless.
My absolute favorite paper for mixed media and watercolor is Strathmore Bristol Vellum. Its smooth finish makes it the perfect choice for printing digital stamps, and the Zig pens blend beautifully on it.
