I’ve been bursting at the seams for months to be able to share this news with you, and today is the big day! My very first collection of exclusive stamp sets for Sweet Stamp Shop is officially available on June 15th (that’s today!), and I’ve gotta tell you, it’s been so much fun working with the awesome peeps at Sweet.

If you’re not already familiar with them, please head on over to sweetstampshop.com and check out the many, many totally fun and clever stamps that they have available for planners, paper crafters, and cardmakers.

Here’s a peek at some of the sets that I designed for their June 2016 release:

And here’s a card that I designed using the Peekaboo Cats set from the release:

Cardmaking with Peekaboo Cats from Sweet Stamp Shop

To make this grrreat (hehe) tiger-themed card, I first cut a 4″ W x 5.25″ H frame (interior cutout dimensions are 2″ W x 3.25″ H using a Silhouette Cameo. Then, I centered the frame on the front of a top folding A2 size (4.25″ W x 5.5″ H) card. I lightly marked along the inside of the bottom of the frame with a regular pencil, removed the frame, and stamped the tiger from the Peekaboo Cats set at the center of and just slightly below the pencil line with Versafine Onyx Black ink. After that, I stamped the thought bubble with the same ink, carefully erased the pencil line, and colored the tiger using Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils.

When I was finished coloring the tiger, I randomly stamped all over the frame using the heart stamp from the set with VersaMagic Mango Madness Chalk Ink. To finish the card, I attached the frame to the card front with 3D foam adhesive to give it a little bit of dimension. Then, I stamped the “more pounce to the ounce” sentiment from the set above the tiger’s head (also in Onyx Black ink) and added a little heart to the thought bubble with Hero Arts Neon Pink ink.
