I’ve been having so much fun with the new hand lettered valentine heart cut files! A big part of the fun for me was to pick out the colors that I wanted to use for theses layered paper versions. I just love the pink, peach, and and almost orange-y red cardstock colors that I found in my stash. And, of course, I had to add a little gold glitter cardstock to the mix, too!
The layered versions of these cut files are so easy to put together. They’re each three layers, and you just cut the layers out and glue them together. That’s it! If you want to turn these into cards, you can simply cut two of the base heart pieces, score one of the pieces about an inch from the top, and glue it onto the back of the layered design above the scoreline. Or you can scale the designs down and add them to the front of cards, too!
I’ve put together a short little video with these cute valentine cut files – check it out below! This was my first time making a square, social media-style video, and I had a lot of fun with it. Hope you enjoy it, too!
Catchy little cards. Love how the layers add depth and richness, giving the cards both a visual and tactile appeal. You have such a knack for creating decorations and such that evoke warm fondness long after the holiday. The sort of thing you’d find in a box years later, then losing yourself for hours.
