Pantry label stickers - a bit tricky to print!

Pantry label stickers - a bit tricky to print!
I purchased these stickers for printing pantry labels and the intended use was to label the OXO storage items I also purchased from Amazon. I found some free printables online and wanted to print the labels to sticker paper.Overall, the stickers printed well onto the paper. For reference, I utilized a laser printer and I would say that these would likely print differently with an inkjet.I would caveat by saying that it was a bit tricky to get the result I wanted so I have some tips (applicable for my print job and may not apply to yours):1) Play with the settings on your printer, in particular the paper setting. I tested several settings and found that the "Labels" setting worked the best in terms of getting the darkest, clearest labels. This is a process of trial and error - be prepared to lose a few sheets to this process (and the sheets are not inexpensive!) so order extra. I ordered a bunch of the sticker paper and was prepared for this to happen.2) In between printing the label page on the sticker paper, print a test page of the labels you are going to print on REGULAR paper. I found that this minimized the smear and also the "ghost" of the prior or current label also printing on the sticker paper. After printing the test page, go ahead and print the label on the sticker paper.3) Use a paper cutter to cut out the labels if possible. I have several paper cutters that I have used for scrapbooking and I utilized this to get a nice, even cut on the labels.4) Embrace imperfection. They are still imperfect, even with these steps, but I'm ok with "good enough" - if you are a stickler for perfection, these may not work for you. As someone who is quite picky, I was ok with how they printed and displayed in my pantry, but if you expect every single label to be perfect, this product might not work for you.I think that these are a great option for printing pantry labels and I'm happy with how they turned out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works like a charm with Ricoh Laser Printer
Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2016
After reading through mixed reviews about feeding this paper through a laser printer I decided to buy and try anyways. It worked flawlessly with the exception that - although it takes effort, I was able to scratch off the ink but I will seal the labels with something basic (krylon clear coat spray, probably) and these'll be perfection. I used a Ricoh C4503 model laser printer and set my paper to "thick" and to pull from the bypass tray. These turned out exactly like I hoped, color-wise, and were easy to peel and stick. I was able to remove the label after adhering it to the glass bottle and thankfully it didn't leave any residue but also didn't give me pause to worry about the integrity of the glue (the seal I plan on doing might serve double duty to ensure edges can't be accidentally lifted).

ETA: Krylon sealer did not help; with some effort, I'm still able to scratch off the design. Oh well. Thankfully I don't suspect these labels will be put into potentially scratchy situations so I'm keeping the review at 5 stars, especially since I didn't technically use/print them per directions.
